The Water Clock
Two bodies are discovered under mysterious circumstances. One is found frozen in a car trunk, and the other, a decades-old decaying corpse, on a cathedral roof. The story is picked up by reporter Philip Dryden, who is still struggling to recover emotionally from the car accident two years ago that put his wife in a coma.
He still does not know who rescued him from the car--but left his wife to die. When he pursues the puzzle of the two bodies, he realizes that not only are the deaths both linked to a crime committed in 1966, but they may also provide him with clues to his own personal mystery.
