Anthony Pigeon Tony Lucia admits that he murdered Angelo Coluzzi, but he insists that he's innocent of blame. Coluzzi, it seems, murdered Tony's young wife in Italy decades before, and the Italian tradition of vendetta makes Tony's act excusable. Young lawyer Judy Carrier agrees to take Tony's case, dubious defense and all. She soon finds herself targeted by the Philadelphia Mafia, who were Coluzzi's cronies.
