The Geographer's Library
This debut thriller is a historical puzzler in the vein of THE DA VINCI CODE and THE RULE OF FOUR. In 1154, a thief stole a collection of alchemical tools from the library of the geographer of the king of Sicily. The tools were subsequently scattered all over the globe, and as the centuries passed, various people have attempted to reassemble the collection. In the present day, Paul Tomm, a Brooklyn native in his early twenties working as a reporter for a small-town Connecticut newspaper, is attempting to write an obituary of an elderly, reclusive professor. As Paul investigates the mysterious circumstances of the professor's life and death, it gradually becomes clear that they are tied to the age-old search for the alchemical tools.
