Lacey, a woman who seems to have it all--talent, good looks, and a successful business--is missing a family. For 30 years, her mother has refused to discuss Lacey's absent father or their missing relatives. It is not until her mother is struggling with a life-threatening illness and a letter arrives from someone who claims to be her aunt that Lacey's chance comes. This piece of correspondence enables Lacey to learn about her mother's family, her father's death, and about the killer whom her aunt believes may return. Encouraged by these discoveries, Lacey seeks answers in Harpers Ferry where she uncovers who she really is, and why her past has been hidden for so long.
