The complex ethnic politics in Jerusalem are the roiling background against which a beautiful woman's mysterious murder is set. When the body of Yemenite Jew Zahara Bashari is discovered, strangled and with her face smashed in, Chief Superintendent Michael Ohayon must comb through a multitude of possible motives for her death. Could the constantly simmering tension between Middle Eastern/African and European Jews be to blame? Was it Zahara's possible affair with her boss? Or did Zahara manage to learn a secret that certain influential people would prefer to leave buried? This is the fifth police procedural starring Ohayon.
