Genealogist Torie O'Shea is hired by Norah Zumwalt to research her family tree, especially that portion concerning her father, who has been missing and presumed dead since WWII. With a little digging into military records, Torie locates Norah's father in a nearby town. But before she can give Norah the information, Norah turns up dead. Drawn into the mystery of the situation, Torie delves deeper into the family history. Why would Norah's father not contact his child? Who would want this seemingly mild-mannered woman dead and why?
