Henrietta O`Dwyer Collins, professor at a school of journalism in Missouri, encouraged her student, Maggie Winslow, to pursue the investigation of several local unsolved murders. She`s as shocked as everyone else when Maggie is murdered soon after placing an ad in the local paper, requesting information. Maggie`s murder occurred at Lover`s Lane--the site of a young couple`s unsolved murder eight years earlier. Armed with bits and pieces of information, Henrie O honors Maggie`s memory by investigating the murders herself.
